Ohio to California - Day 1

Buena Park, CA I started off taking the Green Line train from Norwalk to LAX. The day was clear in LA and I was able to see the Santa Monica Mountains as well as Catalina The first leg was to Phoenix, AZ Flying in to Cleveland there was a cloud layer right at ground level which made for some really interesting sights, the light from below spread out giving the land a splotchy orange and white look. Classic Mini - Mentor, OH http://driveclassicmini.com Julie Saxa (she's great!) picked me up at the airport and we drove the 20 minutes to the dealership in Mentor, OH. We took care of all the paperwork and I bought a mini! 2005 Mini Cooper S, Dark Silver, Premium, Sport and Cold Weather packages. $23,995 Lake Erie, OH Now I've been to the Pacific, the Atlantic, and a great lake! Ashland, OH I grew up in Ashland, OR so I stopped in Ashland, OH and called mom. "Guess where I am! Ashland!" :) Cleveland, OH Drove through Cleveland. Wright Patterson AFB - Dayton, OH http://wpafb.af.mil/museum/ I went to the Smithsonian and the Udvar-Hazy Center in Washington last summer. Wright Patterson is better. I know that's saying a lot, but they have three *gigantic* hangers filled with military bombers, fighters, missiles, ICBM's, *everything*. Where the Smithsonian focuses on the science side, WP focuses on the military side. Cincinatti, OH Drove through Cincinatti. Stopped for the night outside of Mammoth Cave, KY at about 8pm On to Day 2
