Near where the Rio Grande meets the Gulf of Mexico they're building a new fence. A big dirt berm topped with a fence. I finally made it all the way to the Gulf. I took the southernmost road and ended up at the southernmost park in texas. The road ended right on the beach. Like every other Texas beach I've ever been on, this one was disgusting and filled with trash.
After that I headed north towards Corpus Christi. Just before I got to my destination I looked down and realized that I was getting low on gas. So I slowed down to conserve fuel, and started looking for a gas station. The computer slowly ticked off the miles left on the gas tank, until it got to zero, and then --. I sweated the next 12 miles until FINALLY finding a gas station to fill up. That's by far the lowest I've ever had the tank, and put 14.1 gallons into the 13 gallon tank.
